Paul Richard Nickell Jr

 Paul R. "P.J. Nickell" Nickell, Jr., 49, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly late Wednesday afternoon,  April 17, 2024, in Sandusky, OH.

   Born on October 28, 1974, in Fremont, Ohio the son of Paul R. and Barbara Ann Nickell, Sr..  Paul was a 1993 graduate of Clyde High School.  He had worked for the Whirlpool Corporation for 25 years (1993 - 2018) before retiring.   For the past 10 years, Paul had been working for the Perkins High School Athletic Department as a gate worker taking tickets at the various sporting events.  He'll be remembered by his family for how he loved spending time with the family and his nieces and nephews and how he truly loved being involved with the Perkins High School sporting events and their fans, how he loved them dearly!

   Paul is survived his two brothers, Michael (Maggie) Strohl of Sandusky and Chad (Christy) Nickell of Ft. Worth, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Mitchell, Vinny, Adelyn, Alden, and Avery.

   He was preceded in death by his parents.

   He is to be cremated.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.

   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his name to the Perkins Athletic Booster Club, P.O. Box 1002, Sandusky, OH 44871.
