Audrey Marie (Patsch) Rogers

Audrey M. (Patsch) Rogers, 95, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully in the early morning of January 23, 2026, at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.

   She was born on October 23, 1930, in Sandusky, OH to the late Joseph and Mary (Singer) Patsch.  Audrey married Kenneth F. Rogers on May 5, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 28, 1986.

   As a lifelong resident of Sandusky, during her high school years, she worked at the Photo Booth at Cedar Point, followed by Philco, American Crayon, New-Departure-Hyatt Inc., and later at Providence Hospital, before retiring.

   In years past, Audrey had been a member of the Bay View council in the 1980's.  She also enjoyed bowling and especially the Senior Golf League which she played on into her 80's, where lunch afterward was as much fun as the golfing!

   Audrey was also a lifelong animal and bird lover, from her earlier days pulling her pet duck "Waddles" around in her wagon when she was very young and caring for her many cats and dogs over the years.  Her interest in our wildlife led her to become a volunteer eagle watcher in the early days of their successful recovery.

   She is survived by daughter, Linda Rogers Sloan (Larry E. Smith), and her son, Kenneth R. Rogers (Debi Alaimo).

   Audrey was the youngest and the last of 13 children, who have all preceded her in death; her siblings were, Joseph Patsch, Clarence Patsch, Bea Seaton, Sylvia Steele, Tris Kegarise, Clara Worthington, Ken Patsch, Robert Patsch, Gene Patsch, Dick Patsch, Thirley Borsick, Amaryliss Brownell .

   It was her wish to be cremated.  A graveside service will be held Thursday morning, February 5, 2026, at 10:30 am in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 2020 Sanford Street, Sandusky, OH. Deacon Phil Dinovo officiating. 

   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Back to the Wild,  P.O. Box 423, 4504 Bardshar Road, Castalia, OH 44824 or to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.

   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH.
